Clever double entendre aside, I have always been drawn to the uplands. Much of the focus of my work is directly inspired by the game birds that inhabit these places and the dogs that take us to them. But my love of the uplands goes deeper than simple artistic inspiration. The uplands provide me an oasis where I can lose myself in the melodic tinkle of a dog's bell and simultaneously find myself again, more centered than before I entered. In short, I have come to depend on the uplands to nourish my mind, body, and imagination. If this website and the artwork contained within its pages can quench the desires of those similarly afflicted, then I'll consider my efforts worthwhile.
