I make my living as an artist. This ambiguous vocation can include any number of disciplines; in my case the term includes painter, illustrator, cartoonist, and outdoor writer. I stop short, however, of interpretive dance.

I am married (although I strain that arrangement each autumn) to my beautiful and extremely tolerant wife Linda. The village of Coldwater, Ontario, Canada, is where we have chosen to raise our family, not to mention several bird dogs. Coldwater suits us perfectly; it's a place where we can enjoy the amenities of the small river village, and at the same time I am minutes away from excellent grouse and woodcock cover.

My artistic inspiration comes from the illustrations and illustrators whose work graced the covers and features of the old classic sporting magazines. I am fortunate enough to have spent the last twenty years of my life as a contributor to several outdoor publications and am honored to have my work on the pages of many of those same magazines.
